The "DNS List" is an Internet mailing list that facilitates general discussion on .au related issues. It is an unmoderated forum, and robust debate is encouraged. A light-touch administration policy is enforced.

List Policy
The DNS list is an unmoderated forum for discussing issues relating to .au. There is no formal charter at this time. A light-touch administrative policy applies whereby members will be removed if they seriously breach the harmony of the list.

Importantly, the DNS list is not operated by auDA (the organisation that manages .au), nor is it an official communications channel of auDA. It is recommended if you seek comment from auDA on particular issues in an official capacity, you use these contact details.

Please do not reproduce material sent to this list. In the past the list has been used (particularly by the media) for quotes on matters relating to the DNS. It discourages people from open and frank discussions if their postings are found the next day in the press. If you wish to use someones post or quotes, then seek the author of the articles permission before doing so.
