Minister backs new domain authority
MELBOURNE University computer programmer Robert Elz is expected to hand over
authority for Australia's internet domain name space, following the Federal
Government's move to officially recognise the .au Domain Administration.

century by using its name to make a potential fortune on the Internet.

On the face of it Pitcairn Island, a mound of crumpled rock in the South
Pacific with just one phone line and no computers at all, is an unlikely
