responsibility of auDA ?

responsibility of auDA ?

Jo,

Do auDA have the ability to broadcast consumer alerts via email to all
com.au registrants?
Was the recent consumer alert regarding registry keys sent out ? If not,
why?
Surely if one of auDA's main objectives is "to improve the general knowledge
base of registrants, so that they are less susceptible to misleading
advertising and other unethical practices by rogue industry operators",
broadcasting consumer alerts would have been a good place to start? Posting
alerts on your website is great but as we are all aware, very few Australian
consumers wake up with thoughts of checking the auDA website for consumer
alerts. If you had the means, why were consumers not well informed?

The ING suspension is one thing, but IRA etc etc .. are still out there
circulating deceptive marketing material. Is anything going to be done to
protect consumers from further deception ?

Ginger

Hi Rod

The seminars are open to everyone, but are especially aimed at
registrars and resellers because they are the main point of contact with
registrants. So yes, you should attend. I would encourage you to also
send the invitation to your customers. One of auDA's main objectives is
to improve the general knowledge base of registrants, so that they are
less susceptible to misleading advertising and other unethical practices
by rogue industry operators.

Regards

Jo

Jo,
Is this something we should attend or is it for registrants?
