Melbourne IT also gave my this excuse when I asked them why my id.au
registration was taking so long.  They said the delay is with AusRegistry and
would take 3-5 days to register.

I then tried to register the same domain with Enetica and within seconds I had
the domain name registered, delegated to my nameservers and active in the DNS.
