Be aware that many of these domain names are not handled as a single bulk
sale by a registrar.

They are typically manually entered by the applicant through the registrar's
online interface, and assuming say 10-20 people processing these
applications (Melbourne IT received well over a thousand applications in 24
hours although there was many repeat applications for the same domain name),
it is quite possible for each individual staff member of the registrar to
only come across the company name once.

There was a very short window between receiving applications and registering
the names.
It is easy now to look back and spot trends.
