Bullshit. The vast majority of domain names are fully managed
by resellers. The reseller registers the domain. The reseller
pays the renewal (on-billing to the registrant) and the reseller
chooses which registrar they choose to deal with.

The rest of the bureaucracy only exists to make it harder for
scumbags to rip off registrants with their fake invoices and
renewal scams.

In my opinion it would be much better to simply string these
unscrupulous bastards up by their entrails.
