Australia goes slow for dot-info
Australia is lagging behind the rest of the world in the rush to
register with the new global top level domain (gTLD) dot-info(.info).

More than 500,000 domain names have been registered worldwide in the
first 90 days of availability, according to Afilias, the official
registry for the dot-info domain name . However, only 2.1 percent of
dot-info domains have been registered in Australia. In fact, the
entire Asia-Pacific region has been slow on the dot-info front, with
Australia making up 43 percent of registrations.

Ukraine's top-level domain name '.ua' is open for registration
The Ukraine's top-level domain name '.ua', which has been the topic
of discussion for the past 10 years, is now open for registration.
Internet users in the Ukraine can now buy addresses with the '.ua'
suffix, such as 'www.business.ua' and 'www.trademark.ua'. The last
time the domain name was made available, users could only register
third-level domain names like '.com.ua' and 'net.ua'. Every region in
the Ukraine has its own domain, such as 'kiev.ua' or 'lviv.ua'.
