Domain name registrar VeriSign said Wednesday that it is revising a
controversial proposal to award expiring Web addresses to registrants

Hyperlinks should be excluded from domain name disputes, a US judge
said this week in a ruling that saw car maker Ford lose its battle to

It's all go for AusRegistry (Fairfax IT)
The establishment of Australia's new domain name information
infrastructure is running to plan, even as the registry anointed to
run it embarks on a reverse takeover of a Sydney IT company.
RegistrarsAsia's subsidiary, AusRegistry, last December won the right
to run Australia's domain name system from industry administrator
.auDomain Administration Ltd (AuDA). AusRegistry will wholesale
Internet names ending in com.au, net.au, asn.au, id.au and org.au.
