Adam - this is driving me nuts...

Petrol, groceries...

Do you have a valid point anywhere? For a lawyer you certainly have a
whole heap of time on your hands!

Ian, did you use the "R" word!

Although craig from maddocks will say that you can't buy your fuel
directly
from the manufacturer, or the whole sale and are "restricted to purchase
it
from the service station"

However, we aren't talking about Petrol, which the ACCC has it's teeth
firmly into, we are talking about eggs, fruit & veg, meat and poultry
products.

Domain Names are not in the same class as Petrol/Fuel.

I buy most of my groceries directly from the manufacturers. Sure, I buy
in
bulk in most cases. Saves me going to the shops every month.

However, we are talking about an electronic system, that doesn't by
rights
requires two middle parties to operate it effectively.

auDA could be the SOLE provider of registration, sales and
administration. Cutting out the costs of ausregistry, a registrar and a

reseller.

Its one of the reasons one of my companies has it's own distribution
network. We deal direct to the public and a range of retailers. We
avoid
the duplicator, wholesaler, distributor additional costs.

It also puts more profits (cough) into the companies pockets, although
we
have to reach 56,000 sales before we worry about profit.

Anyway, start here
