You might find this tool quite helpful:

Actually, "kyoko.mpx.com.au" is just another name for 203.2.75.2 aka
"ns1.optusnet.com.au" and "poodle.optusnet.com.au" is another name for
203.2.75.12 aka "ns2.optusnet.com.au". Since DNS delegation relies on
the IP address, this does not cause any problems.

However, the SOA record does list ns1.optusnet.com.au as the primary
nameserver which conflicts with the delegation to kyoko.mpx.com.au so
to be fully standards-compliant it wouldn't hurt to redelegate to the
current names for those nameservers. (Historically, they started out
as the Microplex nameservers before Microplex was bought by Optus and
apparently the dse.com.au delegation was not changed after the Optus
acquisition of Microplex.)

Presumably because at some time in the past the domain was delegated
to Telstra and they have never removed the (now out of date) delegation.

Yes, anyone using the Telstra nameservers will be unable to access
www.dse.com.au since the Telstra zone is out of date and does not
contain a record for www.dse.com.au. The DSE technical contact needs
to contact Telstra and request that they remove the incorrect delegation
in order to permit Telstra customers to access their domain. According
to "whois dse.com.au" their contacts are:
