auDA is accountable to the Internet community in Australia, and has as
its constituency, the suppliers of domain names (including the
registry), the 'consumers' of domain names, and more generally, the
Internet community. In its policy formulation process, auDA has to take
into account a wide range of interests, and has to delicately balance
these various interests. It would be wrong to suggest that auDA only
'represents' one part of its constituency.

auDA is a *huge* organisation with all of three staff. Two of whom are
currently in Montreal, Canada, representing .au and Australia's
interests at the present ICANN meetings there. In short, auDA does not
have the resources to respond to all the issues raised in this list.

Issues raised here and elsewhere are obviously taken on board, but it
is interesting to note that despite these passionate debate on this
list, when auDA formally requests for submissions and comments in its
policy formulation process, the responses are deafeningly quiet!

The Transfer policy (which sparked this string of discussions) is to be
reviewed in six months (see last paragraph of the policy). May I suggest
that you all provide constructive feedback of the policy when it is
reviewed at that time.
