Unlikely.  The gTLD registrars are now checking and disabling domains with
invalid NIC information every 6 months as required by the US government.
It's only a superficial check but a bounced contact email will cause the
domain to lock.

Then when you try to send a renewal notice 10 years down the track the most
likely outcome will be the notice will be returned to sender as the business
has moved on ...Long live the 2 year renewal..

Well at least you can get a 10 year registration with .com and ignore
renewal notices for 10 years :-)
