Call Jo at auDA and discuss Cheers -----Original Message----- From: Gary Meadows [mailto:webmaster§editgroup.com.au] Sent: Friday, 13 August 2004 1:26 PM To: dns§dotau.org Subject: RE: [DNS] Advice on registration of recent .net.au Beats me. If the previous registrant let it expire, what other circumstances gives them any more entitlement to the domain than yourself. Gary -----Original Message----- From: Craig Oehlers [mailto:info§proweb.com.au] Sent: Friday, 13 August 2004 1:13 PM To: dns§dotau.org Subject: [DNS] Advice on registration of recent .net.au Recently I registered chaos.net.au which was freely available for registration. This domain name was one of the many .net.au drops which had a 30 day pending delete period (more than the standard 14 days) and I have today received notification from auDA that the previous registrant remained entitled to the registration of the domain name. Please note that a domain name in pending delete status would have been inactive giving the previous registrant substantial notice and opportunity to renew the domain. Please go to http://chaos.net.au/audaletter.pdf to view the letter received from auDA. Can anyone shed some light on the matter? Or has anyone had any similar experiences?
