Can moving to a new TLD boost search rankings?

One of the big questions in SEO today is how new TLDs like .LIVE, .NEWS or
.ATTORNEY, are affecting search engine rankings. While some believe that
.COM domains are the only safe option, Google has insisted that gTLDs aren't
at any disadvantage in their search rankings' algorithm. Rather than accept
either of these statements at face value, we wanted to know, what does the
data say?

Copyright Group: Hypocrite .ORG Registry Should Ban The Pirate Bay

A coalition of prominent copyright holders including Disney, 20th Century
Fox, NBC Universal and Viacom are pressuring the U.S. based .ORG domain

shocked that the registry allows the notorious torrent site to operate

impressed with the pressure and notes that the movement is much more than a

Google's IPv6 Stats Hit 12% on Fourth Anniversary of World IPv6 Launch by
Dan York

Four years ago today, thousands of websites, including Facebook, Google and
Yahoo, and hundreds of networks permanently enabled IPv6 in what was called
"World IPv6 Launch". One year before, on June 6, 2011, there had been a
24-hour test in "World IPv6 Day" but by June 6, 2012, IPv6 was enabled
permanently for the participating sites and networks. One of the many IPv6
statistics sites many of us have watched since that time has been Google's
statistics.

us: Presidential Candidates Must Be Masters of Their Domain Names

Throughout the presidential campaign, many candidates in both parties have
dealt with online trolls using their names on bogus campaign sites.
Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton faced this obstacle early in her
campaign when Reuters discovered that the URL hillaryclinton.org was a spam
site filled with malicious software and owned by an administrator in the
Cayman Islands.

The Web's Creator Looks to Reinvent It

Twenty-seven years ago, Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web as a way
for scientists to easily find information. It has since become the world's
most powerful medium for knowledge, communications and commerce - but that
doesn't mean Mr. Berners-Lee is happy with all of the consequences.
