[DNS] To the list administrator

To the list administrator,

It has been of some concern to me over the past few days that individuals on
this list have making unsupported allegations without fully disclosing their
identity or contact information.

This is a public list of individuals and companies interested in the
administration of DNS issues in Australia. It is also a peer network, and as
such, there is clearly the opportunity for anonymous individuals to
adversely affect the standing of companies or individuals in the eyes of
those peers.

I understand that this is a moderated list. In fact I recall that it was set
up with an explicit policy in 1999 that a certain individual was not allowed
to participate due to the excessive and noise nature of his postings.

Given this, I think it a minimum standard of list etiquette that all who
post to this list provide both their first and last names. I would also like
to see postal contact information other than their email address, but accept
that this may not be desirable for privacy reasons.

Regards
