[DNS] Contributors' vested interests

I've been an interested spectator and occasional contributor for only a
short time. I've noticed that some contributors seem to have a considerable
measure of subjectivity in their posting.

May I suggest that contributors cite their vested interests, if any, so that
their obvious passion can be understood in the context of that interest.

For example, Don cameron obviously hates spam, as we all do. However, as an
occasional reseller of domain names, I welcome information updates from
Melbourne IT as it keeps me informed, which in turn helps me keep my clients
informed. Nigel Burke, on the other hand, apparently wants Melbourne IT out
of the picture completely - is this wish entirely altruistic, I wonder?

And my vested interest? We provide a hosting service, supply a web-builder
ASP service, and sell domain names to new clients. And when competition
appears in domain name supply, I will examine all suppliers and make a
business decision on who I support, at that time.
