The name.industry.au model does not in anyway remove the eligibility requirements of the .au namespace. As such, microsoft.cobbler.au or cocacola.plumbing.au could not be registered unless the eligibility criteria was met. Further to this, such a model would reduce fraud and issues like phising, as only genuine banks could register .bank.au In the Bulgarian example, as the 2LD is generic, to fully protect a brand you would have to register it using all of the possible extensions.
