Ability to register xyz.au would be great but is it a good idea on a logistical level? If someone registered xyz.au and then sold thousands of subdomains, then the xyz.au company goes under, all the sub domain people effected would be jumping over the auDA. With this in mind, if there was the facility to register xyz.au the requirements would have to be very high, close to ausregistry level id expect. More 2LD's? If a proposal is made and it addresses all policy criteria and I agree with the proposal I'd vote for when it came up at the board meeting. IMO there's no reason not to add more 2LD's, I guess if the demand is there, new 2LD's will be created. In the same ballpark though, I would push the 'power of attorney' issue.
