[DNS] Domain monetising?

[DNS] Domain monetising?

One can only marvel at the laxness of 7-eleven. My real question, though,
is how did Mr Ng qualify himself to be the registrant in the first place?

I'd have thought a responsible registrar would at the very least to query an
individual's attempt to register a household brand as his own domain name.
An astute registrar might have seized on the opportunity and contacted
7-eleven to offer their services and perhaps sell them the domain name.

Only an asleep registrar would register the name as it stands.
